For allowed transitions there is close C agreement between the results and reasonable/understandable differences C with earlier results. Their results used for 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 1-6, 1-9, 2-8, C 2-10, 3-7, 4-7, 5-7, 6-7 and 7-9. C For the intercombination result they took care and results are available C in the length formulation from Superstructure. More recently Lennon et al C (Astrophysical J 294, 200, 1985) recalculated 1-2 and 1-3 results. For the C allowed transition the agreement with the result of Nussbaumer and Storey C is good (at worst a difference of 8 parts in 470). The intercombination C results are different (74 cf 55.3 s-1 or 12.4 cf 5.24 at worst). Preferred C the data of Lennon et al for 1-2 transition. Use of their results gives C better agreement with solar results. C For 10-11, 10-12 and 10-12 use the results from Weise, Smith and Glennon C (NSDRDS NBS4 1966). C C 11-14 to 16, 12-16, 13-15 and 13-16 and 2-15 and 2-16 are from HPS c superstructure runs. C C Collision Rates C Lafyatis and Kohl (Phys Rev 36, 59, 1987) measured the 1-3 cross section. C Their measurements from 1 to 2 times threshold energy agree with the C results of Robb (Magee et al, LA 6691 MS 1977) within the experimental C uncertainty. Also agrees with Hayes and Nussbaumer (Ast and Ast 134, 193, C 1984) whose calculation was as Hayes (as given in O IV write up). Data are C available for 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-5, 2-3, 2-4 and 2-5 transitions. The results C of Robb (op cit) were used for 3-4, 3-5 and 4-5. This was a five state C close coupling calculation using single configuration wavefunctions and C Clementi orbitals. C Lennon et al (Mon Not Roy Ast Soc 220, 571, 1986) have done a recalculation C of the earlier Lennon et al work allowing for a change of the energy C position of a resonance. They say there is in general quite good agreement C with the the results of Hayes and Nussbaumer with a few exceptions, C especially 2P1/2 - 2P3/2, but this does not affect the populations. C For 1-6, 1-7 and 1-9 use the results of Mann (Magee et al, op cit) who did C a unitarised Coulomb-born calculation with exchange, with and without CI.
