      REMARKS:
      THE DATASET IS OBTAINED BY MANUALLY FITTING CURVES THROUGH
      N - SHELL FRACTIONAL CROSS-SECTION DATA INFLUENCED BY
      FRITSCH AND RYUFUKU.  THERE IS AN AMBIGUITY IN THE N=2 SHELL
      PART SINCE FRITSCH DOES NOT GIVE THIS.  RYUFUKU ON THE OTHER
      HAND HAS A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION FROM IT.  THE N=2 PART IS
      ARTIFICIALLY FORCED SMALL AT ENERGIES DOWN FROM 100KEV.  THEREBY
      FRITSCH DATA IS NOT TOO MUCH ALTERED BY RENORMALISATION TO THE
      PREFERRED TOTAL.

      THE PREFERRED TOTAL IS THAT FROM IONATOM.DATA(H) ISEL=38.  IT
      IS BASED ON GREENLAND AND RYUFUKU AND AGREES VERY WELL WITH THE
      FRITSCH TOTAL.

      FRITSCH EXPECTS TO ALTER THE LOW ENERGY DATA IN THE LIGHT OF
      DETAILED WORK ON THE EFFECT OF EXCITED HYDROGEN STATES.  THE
      PRESENT DATA OF FRITSCH EXCLUDES PASSAGE THROUGH EXCITED
      HYDROGEN STATES IN THE COLLISION.

      LFORMA ,XLCUTA, PL2A AND PL3A ARE DERIVED BY FITTING SIGMA(N,L)
      USING THE A-D-A-S ENTRY PROGRAMME FOR CHARGE EXCHANGE DATA
      FOR PRINCIPAL QUANTUM SHELL N=6 AT ALL TABULATED ENERGIES

   L-SPLITTING IS RECONSTITUTED FROM THE JET N-SHELL RESOLUTION DATA 
   BLOCK USING  ITS L-SHELL FORM PARAMETERS.  THE DATA SET THUS EXACTLY
   MATCHES THE JET DATA SET IN APPLICATION.  NOTE THE L-SHELL FORM
   PARAMETERS ARE OPTIMIMISED AROUND THE N-SHELLS RESPONSIBLE FOR 
   VISIBLE LINE CHARGE EXCHANGE SPECTROSCOPY EMISSION.
