------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BACKGROUND : THE DATA WAS OBTAINED BY FIRST SUBJECTING THE THE ADF04 FILE 'HPSH91H' TO ADAS211. ADAS211 ESSENTIALLY IMPLEMENTS THE BURGESS AND TULLY TRANSFORMATION ON THE EFFECTIVE COLLISION STRENGTH ( SEE REFERENCE (1)). THE X AND Y ARRAYS DESCRIBED IN (1) ARE THEN PASSED TO A SUBROUTINE WHICH PRODUCES A SPLINE THROUGH THE THE DATA.TO OBTAIN THE EFFECTIVE COLLISION STRENGTH FOR A GIVEN TEMPERATURE RANGE, ADAS211 READS THE REQUIRED TEMPERATURE RANGE AND THE CORRESPONDING Y VALUES ARE EVALUATED FROM THE SPLINE. THE NEW EFFECTIVE COLISION STRENGTH IS OBTAINED BY REVERSING THE TRANSFORMATION. REFERENCE : (1) A.BURGESS AND J.A.TULLY ON THE ANALYSIS OF COLLISION STRENGTHS AND RATE COEFFICIENTS.
