03-July-2017: More Tungsten Project DR data
Dielectronic and radiative recombination data for the K-like to Kr-like iso-electronic sequences, produced as part of the Tungsten Project , are available. The data are described in the paper, S. P. Preval et. al, J. Phys. B50, 105201 (2017), available from doi: 10.1088/1361-6455/aa6a3c.
26-April-2016: Tungsten Project data available
The Tungsten Project aims to calculate partial final-state resolved dielectronic recombination (DR) rate coefficients for use in collisional-radiative modeling. Radiative recombination (RR) rates are also generated. An overview of the project and the first results are outlined in, S. P. Preval et. al, Phys. Rev. A93, 042703 (2016), available from doi: 10.1103/PhysRevA.93.042703.
The data, in ADAS data formats, adf09 and adf48, are available from OPEN-ADAS.

08-November-2014: Recruitment
We have a two year, fixed-term, post-doc position available which would suit a candidate with a strong atomic physics, impurity transport modelling and programming background. For the application procedure see the Vacancies section on the University of Strathclyde website with specific details about the post here.
13 May 2014 – ADAS Workshop
Narodowe Centrum Badań Jądrowych will host the 2014 edition of the workshop to be held at the REGENCY Hotel in Warsaw, Poland. The dates are 28-30 September, 2014. The first announcement has been sent out and full details are here.
15 Apr 2014 – Post-doc position
A post-doctoral research associate position, based in the Department of Physics at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, is available for up to 3 years to work on theoretical and computational studies of atomic processes of particular relevance to magnetic fusion plasmas. The main topic is dielectronic recombination of the tungsten isonuclear sequence for ADAS modelling of the tungsten ionization balance at JET and ITER. Details and contact information are here or here. The application closing date is 11-May-2014.
26 Feb 2013 – Major update to the website
The OPEN-ADAS website has been updated with a new visual interface and the addition of three new data classes.
